The Home of Rowing

Henley isn't only beautiful scenery, small town markets and boat trips down the river. For over 175 years it has hosted the worlds greatest rowing regatta which is the first summer social event in many peoples calendar the world over. International crews compete over 5 days in front of tens of thousands of spectators to win the coveted regatta.

Festivals Galore

Other than the regatta Henley enjoys a summer music and arts festival which has seen the likes of Elton John, Sting, Lionel Richie and Shirley Bassey perform. In addition Henley hosts a world class literary festival and "Rewind" the 80's music festival plays out on the bank of the River Thames. It's a town of festivals fast earning a reputation for being a hub of culture, art and music.

Food and Drink

If you want to head out for something to eat or drink you are able to enjoy the ambience of the market town from one of many cafes, restaurants and bars with outside seating in the Market Square or tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
